Our Society Advisor
The evolutions of work and workers have changed the nature of the workplace and human resource (HR) functions. My expectations for members of the Human Capital Society are twofold:
Accumulating HR expertise, namely HR functional knowledge, HR analytics, employment law, employee relations, etc.
Equipping yourself with a broad range of knowledge and skills relating both to behavioural competencies (leadership and change management, negotiations and relationship management, communications, etc.) and business competencies (strategy, ethics, etc.).
Ultimately, you should be able to think strategically so as to resolve HR-related problems for companies, human capital, and stakeholders.
The future of HR is both exciting and challenging as it integrates HR knowledge with HR analytics. As a member of the Human Capital Society, you need to be familiar with both technology and human touch skills so as to bring out the best of the human-technology interaction.
